This abstract impasto painting is one of nine in a series made for a spring art exposition in 2021.

The colors are based on spring themes pastel easter themes. The composition was established using a live model, which was abstracted with a rabbit motif to inform the lines and forms.

Returning to my childhood home. It was spring when I arrived. Ten years, the garden had grown. The tree was very old. Climb to the highest branches. From there I could see blueberry bushes in the yard, chewed to the ground by rabbits, devastated.
